Appraisal ServicesIn July 28, 2001, Herndon Fine Art has joined forces with the National Institute of Appraisers (NIA) as an Associate Member to handle our valuations of fine art. FACT: more and more insurance companies are requiring independent certified appraisals, and no longer accept appraisals given by the seller of the art. For IRS non-cash charitable donations, an independent certified appraisal is mandated. The NIA has been providing appraisal services for over twenty years. It is a highly selective membership organization of the nation's leading appraisers of fine art. Its nationally respected membership specializes in paintings, drawings, photographs, graphics and sculpture from antiquity through contemporary works of art.
